Sources and Quality
In Sixth Senses Aromatics, the essential oils that we purchased are pure and unadulterated. “Adulteration” is the process of adding synthetics and other substances to essential oils. Most of the essential oils that we use have gone through laboratory test called GC/MS (i.e. Gas Chromatograph/Mass Spectrometry).
Gas Chromatography (GC) is a method to separate the volatile compounds in essential oils into individual components and producing a linear graph that charts these components.
Mass Spectrometry (MS) lists the percentages of each of these components.
GC/MS helps us confirm the species of the plant, identifies the oil’s components and indicates the percentage that each component is present in. You can be assured of the quality of essential oils you are getting.
Michelle, the founder of Sixth Senses Aromatics started to make handcrafted products like handmade soap, hand and body care products few years ago. However, it was only last year that she fully embarked on this business of Health & Wellness to focus entirely on this aromatherapy business due to her personal health issues and to pursue happiness and positivity.
In the same year, she was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and she decided to use Aromatherapy to treat herself. She managed to make oils for herself to relieve her joint pains and found success in this. Her condition has improved tremendously since then.
In order to hone her skills in Aromatherapy, she decided to pursue a course on Aromatherapy to be a Certified Aromatherapist so that she will be able to help others and share her story.
